This is certainly not due to its mood swings, but to \ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddf5\ud835\uddf2\u0301\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfa\ud835\uddf2\u0300\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude00 \ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddf5\ud835\uddfc\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddfc-\ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddf5\ud835\ude06\ud835\ude00\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfe\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude00. In fact, sunlight is composed of several wavelengths that make up the \ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddfc\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddff\ud835\ude00 \ud835\ude03\ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude00\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddef\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude00 spectrum: \ud835\uddf9'\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf0 \ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddfb \ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf9. All matter absorbs certain colours in order to reflect back to us the colours it does not absorb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Water is completely transparent in small quantities, but it still absorbs sunlight, \ud835\ude00\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddf3 \ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf2 \ud835\uddef\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude02. As a result, the greater its volume, the greater the number of molecules that make it up, allowing light to diffuse and reflect back to us the colour that is not absorbed: blue. This is why oceans, seas and all other large bodies of water are generally blue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lake is frequently tinted greenish blue or even turquoise, almost passing through yellow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In freshwater bodies such as Lake Geneva, the water can be easily disturbed by algae, sediment and mud. These particles are responsible for changes in the lake's appearance, and their nature determines the colour we perceive. For example, algae that contain chlorophyll (a green pigment) give us a green colour. Conversely, the \ud835\uddf1\ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude00\ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddff\ud835\ude00\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfb \ud835\uddf1\ud835\uddf2 \ud835\uddfa\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddff\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddf0\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude00 \ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude00 very white during windy episodes interacts with the light to send back a turquoise blue, worthy of the Oeschinensee!
