This weekend, I went for a walk near a stream in the Lake Geneva basin. As I approached the stream, I spotted a small ball of feathers fidgeting nervously on a rock. It was the \ud835\udddf\ud835\uddf2 \ud835\uddd6\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf2 \ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf4\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddff. This very discreet bird with its shrill cry dived into the turbulent water and I saw it emerge 15 seconds later.This is the only \ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude00\ud835\ude00\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude02 capable of diving. He's not afraid of the freezing cold in winter or the spring floods to jump into the water. It will always come out dry, protected by its brown plumage. When it is underwater, the Cincle settles on the bottom and rises against the current. Using its beak, it lifts up pebbles, revealing \ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfb\ud835\ude03\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddff\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf2\u0301\ud835\uddef\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf2\u0301\ud835\ude00, which it grabs before the current carries them away.To \ud835\ude00\ud835\uddf2\u0301\ud835\uddf1\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf2, the Dippers exchange food with each other. They then build a nest in cavities in the banks or behind a waterfall. These veritable walls of water protect their offspring. When the chicks foul the nest, the Dipper moves the excrement away to fool \ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf2\u0301\ud835\uddf1\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddff\ud835\ude00.Not very comfortable in the air, the Dipper prefers to float down rapids \ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddff\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddff \ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddff \ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf2 \ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddfc\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddfb\ud835\ude01. In winter, it can be found on the banks of the \ud835\udddf\ud835\uddf2\u0301\ud835\uddfa\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddfb. However, don't expect to see it anywhere near \ud835\uddf3\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf2\u0301\ud835\uddfe\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddfb\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf2\u0301\ud835\ude00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
