{"id":14764,"date":"2024-03-25T09:30:53","date_gmt":"2024-03-25T08:30:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.asleman.org\/?p=14764"},"modified":"2024-03-25T09:30:53","modified_gmt":"2024-03-25T08:30:53","slug":"lemanscope-le-nouveau-projet-de-science-participative-avec-lasl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asleman.org\/en\/2024\/03\/25\/lemanscope-le-nouveau-projet-de-science-participative-avec-lasl\/","title":{"rendered":"Lemanscope, the new participatory science project with ASL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Help us measure the transparency and colour of Lake Geneva to understand seasonal variations in water quality across the whole lake, as part of a participatory science project by the<a href=\"https:\/\/lexplore.info\/fr\/accueil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">EPFL<\/a>\u00a0in collaboration with the<a href=\"https:\/\/dev.asleman.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Association pour la Sauvegarde du L\u00e9man<\/a>\u00a0(ASL) and the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eawag.ch\/fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">EAWAG<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for 500 volunteers with access to a boat on Lake Geneva to carry out measurements from June 2024 to October 2025, using a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lemanscope.org\/#secchi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Secchi disc<\/a>\u00a0or the application\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eyeonwater.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">EyeOnWater<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Every measurement counts and will help to collect the data needed to give scientists a better understanding of the complex ecosystem of Lake Geneva. There are therefore no constraints on the number, location or frequency of measurements.
