This invasive plant, which originated in Africa, competes directly with Lake Geneva plants and risks disrupting the lake ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>During a guided tour of the exhibition, <strong>Diane Maitre, biologist specialising in the flora and fauna of Lake Geneva<\/strong>, working for the Office cantonal de l'eau (GE), will be sharing her expertise. She will present the challenges posed by this invasive plant, its impact on the Lake Geneva ecosystem and the methods used to limit its spread.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\ud83d\udc49 <a href=\"https:\/\/asleman.org\/en\/espaceleman-inscriptions-visites\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Register now!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">***<br \/>\nThe \u00abFor\u00eats sous-lacustres\u00bb exhibition runs from 6 June to 20 September 2024 at Espace L\u00e9man, rue des Cordiers 2, 1207 Geneva. This exhibition invites you to immerse yourself in the sub-lacustrine herbariums of Lake Geneva. Come and discover their importance, the life they harbour and the issues involved in preserving them. \ud83c\udf3f<\/p>\n<p>Guided tours are planned on Saturdays and Thursdays, open to all. There will also be events for schools and families with children, as well as talks by specialists.
