{"id":19632,"date":"2025-01-22T08:57:44","date_gmt":"2025-01-22T07:57:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asleman.org\/?p=19632"},"modified":"2025-02-18T12:50:45","modified_gmt":"2025-02-18T11:50:45","slug":"modelisation-des-flux-et-des-trajectoires-des-plastiques-entrant-dans-le-leman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asleman.org\/en\/2025\/01\/22\/modelisation-des-flux-et-des-trajectoires-des-plastiques-entrant-dans-le-leman\/","title":{"rendered":"Plastic pollution: discover the results of the L\u00e9man Plastic Action study"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Association pour la sauvegarde du L\u00e9man has mandated the bureau <a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-a.earth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">EA - Earth Action<\/a> to develop, with the contribution of ASL's expertise, a model for predicting plastic pollution in Lake Geneva, as well as scenarios for reducing it by 2040.<\/p>\n<p>Modelling has shown that almost 100 tonnes of plastics reach Lake Geneva every year, mainly via run-off from impermeable surfaces (83%). The automotive sector is the main contributor (33%), followed by the construction sector (24%) and public infrastructure (11%).<\/p>\n<p>Eight scenarios have been devised, each offering the prospect of a reduction in plastic pollution in the Lake Geneva basin, depending on the action taken and the level of ambition.
