In Switzerland, almost 14,000 tonnes of macroplastics and microplastics are disseminated each year in the natural environment, discharged into the soil, surface water and sediments, escaping retention and elimination mechanisms. This waste breaks down into invisible particles that insidiously find their way everywhere. The problem has therefore spread around the world, and is one of the greatest environmental challenges that humanity has created and must face today.
To find out more about this problem and the solutions to curb it, join us for our next webinar presented by Alexis Pochelon, ASL project manager.
See you on Monday 15 December from 7pm to 8pm (online)!
(free, registration required)
This webinar is offered as part of the « Lemanscope »This is a participatory science project run by EPFL in collaboration with the Association pour la Sauvegarde du Léman (ASL), UNIL and EAWAG.
