Film screening and round table discussion on the Quagga mussel - Tuesday 4 November from 6pm to 8pm at UNIL (Lausanne)

Dive into the issues surrounding invasive species with the screening of the film All Too Clear, which explores the impact of quagga mussels in the Great Lakes of North America. The evening will continue with a round-table discussion on the situation in Lake Geneva and other Swiss lakes. Alexis Pochelon, project manager at ASL, will shed local light on this major ecological challenge.

Native to the Ponto-Caspian region, the quagga mussel has been in our waters since 2015. Highly prolific, it has significant ecological, economic and social repercussions. To date, no effective means of combating it have been found. Prevention remains our best weapon: let's wash our boats and equipment every time we change waters, so as not to contaminate those that are still preserved!
