To mark the world wetlands daythe ASL invites you to theEspace Lémanits nature centre dedicated to the lake, for a workshop to discover the birds of Lake GenevaYou'll be interested to learn more about the species, their habitats and the efforts being made to preserve them. You're wondering why the Geneva roadstead is a wetland of international importance and how birds can withstand the cold with your feet in the water? This animation will plunge you into the heart of this unique ecosystem and the challenges linked to its preservation.
After a warm first game, we'll put on our jackets and take our binoculars to go and observe the winter visitors taking advantage of the renaturation work carried out at Eaux-Vives.
Practical information:
Meet us on Sunday 2 February at 2pm at our nature centre (Rue des Cordiers 2, 1207 Geneva). The outing will finish at around 4pm at the Plage des Eaux-Vives.
Bring warm clothing and binoculars if you have them.
