In ancient times, great minds believed that water, of vital importance, was the origin of the world, of life and of humanity. It was a pretty good idea! The idea of the Flood as revenge for man's carelessness wasn't bad either. If, by dint of playing with the climate, mankind causes the fragile balance between peoples to tip as water invades the land, will this myth become reality?
The text presented here, an all-too-brief summary taken from a work in progress, describes the evolution of humanity's perception and conception of its environment in ancient times, of matter and water in particular, which it didn't take long to realise was the basis of its existence.
