Want to take part in a participatory science project ? Join us for identification of an invasive aquatic plantthe Lagarosiphon major. It's also a great opportunity to get out and about in the open air, meeting new people and sharing ideas!
The aim of our survey campaign is to acquire a realistic picture of the extent of its spread in 37 ports in the canton of Vaud. After a on-the-job training to learn how to recognise this invasive species, your observations will help us to map each port and assess the extent to which the plant has spread.
By taking part, you will also discover other aquatic plants and learn about the problems associated with invasive alien species.
