Activity report 2023: a dynamic year rich in initiatives to preserve Lake Geneva

Notable achievements during the year included the redesign of our offices and the creation of "Espace Léman", a reception and discovery area dedicated to Lake Geneva that encourages direct contact with the public and raises awareness of the importance of sustainable management of aquatic ecosystems (lake, rivers) and water resources.

The ASL continued its commitment to :

  • d'of questions, consultations and collaborations with the authorities, the academic world and scientific research
  • from waste and its management with citizen actions (clean-up days, participatory application: netleman.app), concrete measures in the field and even cantonal/federal discussions on certain types of waste from building sites, WWTPs or their presence in harbour/lacustrine sediments;
  • from combating and raising awareness of species invasive such as Japanese Knotweed and Greater Lagarosiphon;
  • from major projects such as "Pla'stock", "Léman Plastic action", "Lémanscope" and "Alga";
  • of the raising public awarenessThis is particularly true of the school curriculum and extra-curricular programmes, our public appearances and our publications.

The ASL is determined to continue its efforts and will continue to take on new challenges!
