The ASL supports the «Libérer et protéger le glacier du Rhône» petition»

ASL supports the petition «Freeing and protecting the Rhône Glacier», calling for enhanced protection this emblematic site, which has been severely affected by the global warming and unsuitable tourist facilities.

At the Source du Rhône, This glacier is essential for Alpine ecosystems and for the entire Rhône basin, all the way to Lake Geneva. The use of synthetic tarpaulins and the presence of waste are degrading the landscape and threatening natural environments and water quality.

In particular, the petition calls for:
- the removal of the tourist grotto dug into the ice,
- urgent clean-up of the site,
- responsible, scientifically-based management of glacial landscapes.

You can support this initiative by signing the petition and passing it on to those around you.
