Oil pollution - letter to the sub-prefect of Thonon

The press (Dauphiné Libéré) reported the recent accidental spillage of 500 litres of fuel oil into the Lake Geneva near Evian, a spill that prompted the fire brigade to take action to contain the problem. Following this incident, the ASL wrote to the sub-prefect of Thonon, the authority in charge of Lake Geneva on the French side, to ask for a meeting with a twofold objective: to be better informed about this accidental but unfortunately not isolated spill and to ask for the implementation of reinforced preventive measures against pollution of Lake Geneva by hydrocarbons of all origins.
